EMO UK welcomes fellow Master Masons of every Masonic Obedience, whether you're joining us as an Affiliate Member of the Order, or making a Visit to one of our Lodges of Egypt.

Are you curious? Sometimes, curiosity is a good thing.

Freemasonry is an ancient and venerable practice, which has spread across the world and unfolded into a variety of types and cultures. To live and thrive, it must progress. Ours is a Liberal, Esoteric, and Egyptian Obedience, which both preserves and practices the Kemetic, Gnostic and Hermetic Transmissions of the Royal Art. Other forms of Masonry cannot offer this, because they are not structured to offer what we offer, so if you are looking for the High Mysticism and Deep Magic of Egyptian Rite Masonry, you're looking in the right place.

How are you different?

We're different in the ways that matter!

We are a mystical form of the Masonic Art from the very first Degree. Our Lodges of Egypt are not merely allegorical spaces for passive contemplation - they are treated as Temples of the Divine, the Spiritual, and the Moral within Humanity.


We practice Contemplation and Inner Journeying in our Lodge Meetings, and deeper rituals in our Sanctuaries, where there are many different Inner Orders which would welcome the involvement of any interested Masons. These have the benefit of being for EMO UK Masons only, which makes them more secure.


We encourage our Members to research into the Esoteric and to share their findings with everyone. We teach many Occult Arts in a grounded, ordered, experience-based and practical manner. We combine successfully the discipline of Masonic Art with the spiritual elevation of the Hermetic, Gnostic and Kemetic Mysteries.


And... we are dedicated to our Works, but we laugh and have a great time as we do so! Joy and Love are the two feelings which truly PLUMB the depths of the Human Heart.

A SQUARE DEAL

What's the benefit of joining?

That depends on your own interests and values... it's all about getting what you want from your Masonry.

You will enter a company of joyful and warm-hearted Masons, of all genders, who have a profound depth of character, and who are committed to the study and practice of Masonry as a spiritual way of life, not a social club or an interesting pastime - we are for Masons who seek deeper experiences. We value Charity and Social Progress just as highly as all Masons, but we go beyond, into the Hidden Mysteries of Nature, of Science, of Soul, and of Spirit. We are not connected to UGLE or LDH, as we operate in a different Obedience and Rite, but we are welcoming to all Masons regardless.


You will also gain access to Transmissions, Arts and Techniques which have remained concealed for centuries, which have been rigorously translated, organised and perfected. You will share the Lodge of Egypt with a wider range of interesting, authentic and intelligent people, and form real connections, which go beyond the formalities of "gentleman's club" etiquette. ON THE LEVEL

What's the deal all round?

Nothing complicated or unusual. We only ask our Members and Affiliates for their Discretion, Commitment and Support.


DISCRETION concerning the boundaries of your fellow Members, and to keep the Rituals, Secrets and Mysteries of the EMO UK inviolate and concealed, as would any Mason. We prefer the concept of Universal Masonry to Amity, so all Masons are welcome to visit us.


COMMITMENT through regular attendence in person and online, punctual payment of Annual Dues, assisting the Works of the Order and Lodge, and engagement with our studies, which will benefit you.


SUPPORT by "spreading the word" about the EMO UK, to any other Mason you may know, who is looking for the deeper Mysteries, who wishes to practice Masonry esoterically, or who wants more than they have gained so far from their practice and commitment to the Royal Art. You could also consider opening an EMO UK Triangle.


So... you only need to behave and operate as we, or any True Mason, would operate: on the LEVEL.

Full Membership

FULL MEMBERSHIP - Full Members must obey all Lodge Summonses and attend in person all Lodge Meetings in their Jurisdiction, as well as studying online. The Lodge which initiates them will become their Mother Lodge for the Symbolic Degrees. Lodge Attendance is mandatory.

Full Members are joining non-Masons. They must receive their Initiations and Elevations in person.

Affiliate Membership

AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP - Affiliated Masons must obey all Summonses and attend all Lodge Meetings in their Jurisdiction, as well as studying online. Lodge and Sanctuary Attendance is mandatory.

Affiliate Members are joining Masons; Masons of any Rite are welcome. They may apply for Associate Membership depending on their location.

Associate Membership

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP - Associate Members must only attend in person for their Lodge or Sanctuary Initiations and Elevations, but may otherwise study remotely, and meet online.

Associate Members are new applicants and Affiliating Masons living abroad, outside of an EMO UK Jurisdiction. They must be able to travel to an EMO UK Lodge to receive their Initiations.
