ABOUT OUR ORDER
The Egyptian Masonic Order UK, of the Ancient and Primitive Rites of Memphis and Misraïm and the Traditional Egyptian Rite – continuing the Ancient Mysteries of Initiation in an independent Organisation, free of discriminatory views – accepts suitable Candidates, freely received from all genders, all ethnicities, all orientations, and all faiths. We are a new Order, in an ancient Tradition.
Our Egyptian Masonic Rites are Symbolic, Philosophical, Hermetic, Kemetic & Esoteric. The venerable symbolism of Ancient Egypt underpins much of our Work, but we also consider the mysteries of Alchemy, Qabalah and Theurgy, as well as Hierology, Therapeutic Astrology and the Hermetic Sciences, to be our main fields of research. Our approach is highly esoteric, which is immediately apparent, even in the 1st Degree. This continues to an increasing depth through further study.
We hold multiple lines of Masonic, Rosicrucian, Martinist and Esoteric transmission and lineage from several countries, including the US, Western Europe, the Middle East, the Caribbean, and the UK. We keep this intra ordem information private, and do not engage in Masonic politics or academic debate. We see all Masons as our Brethren, welcome as Visitors and Affiliates to our Lodges. We do not suppress our Members' rights to join or visit any other Order if they choose. Their loyal attendance is enough.
In addition to the Egyptian Masonic Rites of Memphis 1-95 and of Misraïm 1-90, we maintain several Inner Traditions – all faithfully preserved, and available for our Initiates after completion of the 3rd Degree of Master Mason or higher. We also accept Master Masons from other Obediences for Affiliation, and independent Lodges for Regularisation.
All Members sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement to protect Order secrecy and Member identity. We expect our Honoured Visitors to apply the same discretion.

THE SYMBOLIC LODGE
THE SYMBOLIC LODGE OF EGYPT is the gateway of the Order and the Sanctuary. We work the Memphis Symbolic Rite and the Misraïm Symbolic Rite, but we are also able to work in a variety of Symbolic Rites such as the Ambelain Rite, Scottish Symbolic Rite, West End Rite, etc., but the esoteric structure of the Order is always Kemetic and Graeco-Egyptian.
We are esoteric, universalist and spiritual in practice.
Study is through Order Handbooks, Lectures and online tutorials, but active Lodge work and participation is expected, to equip the Initiate to become a better Egyptian Mason, and a better person. All Lodges collect for Charity.
All Members must join, or affiliate to, a Symbolic Craft Lodge or Triangle of Egypt in the EMO UK. It is necessary to attain, or have attained, the first Three Degrees of Apprentice, Companion and Master Mason before invitation to the Grand Sanctuary.
Invitation is possible for all qualifying Applicants.
THE SYMBOLIC MYSTERIES
1ST DEGREE: Entered Apprentice. Introduction to the Egyptian Rite, Regulations & By-Laws of Lodge or Triangle, Code of Conduct, Masonic Offices, opening & closing the Lodge or Triangle, rituals, signs & symbolism.
2ND DEGREE: Companion or Fellowcraft. Further instruction on the Masonic Tools & investigation into the Mysteries of Science & Nature, both exoteric and esoteric.
3RD DEGREE: Master Mason. Attainment of full Masonic status, receipt of Master Mason Certificate, training in further Mysteries of the Lodge or Triangle.
LOI: Lodge of Instruction, offering tutorials, training & development in the works of Symbolic Egyptian Masonry - both in open Lodge & online - supported by Lectures, Workbooks & Instruction.
LIM: Lodge of Installed Masters, offering training and instruction for all MWMs and PMs in the secret tradition and esoteric practices of the Egyptian Masters of the Symbolic Rite.

THE GRAND SANCTUARY
THE GRAND SANCTUARY OF THE HOLY ISLES (S.A.I.S.) is the collective name for the various Mansions of the Higher Degrees, as well as the Guilds, Councils, Inner Orders and Appendant Orders chartered within the EMO UK.
The Sanctuary is the main repository of our Rites. After attaining the Degree of Master Mason, our Members are able to enter the Lesser, Greater and Supreme Mysteries of Kemet, and other Ancient Mystery Traditions.
It is open to all Master Masons or Affiliated Masons of the EMO UK by invitation only.
THE HIGHER DEGREES
The EMO UK Sanctuary (S.A.I.S.) conveys the Higher Degrees of the Egyptian Rites, from the 4th to the 33rd in the College of Masters, R+C Chapter, Hermetic Senate & Supreme Council; from the 34th -86th in the Sublime Consistory; from the 87th-95th in the Arcana Arcanorum, Grand Concilium, Mystic Temple and Ark & Sanctuary of the Holy Isles.

THE LESSER MYSTERIES
The College of Masters 4-14
The Mason of the College studies the ethics and morality of Egyptian Masonry, Sacred Geometry, the Lower Psychism, Preparatory Alchemy and Theurgy, Philosophy, Metaphysics, and Classical Astrology. They will learn the Keys to the Mystery of the Temple, and the Lodge of Egypt. Masters Elect will attain the Awakening of the Sphere (Aura) and the subtle or psychical senses, to perfect the nature of the Master Mason.

The Rose-Croix Chapter 15-18
Knight Masons of the R+C Chapter pursue advancement of their knowledge of the Mystery Traditions of Gnosticism, Hermeticism, Qabalah, Kemeticism, and General Esotericism. They will complete a Journey of profound significance. Knight Masons will attain the Awakening of the Heart and Inner Regeneration, embracing joy, ethics and compassion through Spiritual Chivalry.

The Hermetic Senate 19-29
Knight Masons of the Senate commence the practical study of Spagyrics and Alchemy, Astro-Theurgy, Thaumaturgy & Natural Magic, the Higher Psychism, the Hall of the Gods, and the Hieratic Arts. They will complete the Three Regimens, and ascend. Knight Masons will attain the Strengthening of the Will, and master their mental force and power to project, to generate the Egyptian Masonic Adept within them.

The Supreme Council 30-33
Illustrious Knight Masons of the Supreme Council receive the Transmissions of the higher Kemetic, Hermetic, Qabalistic and Alchemical teachings of the Order, to consummate the Lesser Mysteries of Egyptian Masonry. They will see wonders within. Illustrious Knight Masons will stimulate the Awakening of the Soul and of the spiritual senses, which grants Spiritual Liberty.

THE GREATER MYSTERIES
The Sublime Consistory 34-86
The Illustrious Knight has mastered the Lesser, and proceeds into the vast spiritual expanses of the Greater, revealed in the Consistory.
The Lower Degrees from the 34th to the 43rd concern the duties of an Egyptian Masonic Knight. They constitute an Expansion.
The Median and Higher Degrees from the 44th to the 66th concern the duties of an Egyptian Masonic Priest. They grant a Consecration.
The Superior Degrees from the 67th to the 86th concern the duties of an Egyptian Masonic Sage. They accomplish a Revelation.

THE SUPREME MYSTERIES
The Grand Concilium 87-90
The highest Degrees from the 87th to the 90th are called collectively the Arcana Arcanorum, or the Mystery of Mysteries, which are the Supreme Mysteries and Syntheses of the Rite.
Beyond these dwell the Very Illustrious Masters of the Grand Concilium of the Order, who labour within the Mystic Temple of Memphis, the Ark and the Sanctuary, under the Implacable Hand of +TGAOTU+ and Their Eternal Powers, to protect and sustain the Order and its Rites for all future generations.

The EMO UK Sanctuary (S.A.I.S.) also preserves a variety of Esoteric Inner Orders:
CHIVALRIC ORDERS: Preserving the Chivalric heritage of the West, as exemplified by bodies such as the Knight Masons & the Knights Templar. Invitation only.
MARTINISM & ELUS COENS: Teaching the Esoteric Christian heritage of the West, as exemplified by Martinism & Elus Coens Theurgy - the Hidden Mysteries of Mystical Christianity, the WORD & the Way of the Heart. Invitation only.
THEURGICAL GUILDS: Close working groups, chartered by the Grand Sanctuary, concentrating on specific primary works of Theurgy, Thaumaturgy, Magic, and the Grimoire tradition. Invitation only.
HERMETIC ORDERS: Conveying the Outer & Inner Grades of the Hermetic Tradition from 0=0, 1=10, 2=9 & upwards - including Telluric, Celestial, Hermetic, Theurgical, Gnostic, Qabalistic & Alchemical practices. Invitation only.
ROSICRUCIANISM: Conveying the Sacred Grades of the Rosicrucian Tradition from Zelator onwards - including Astrological, Celestial, Hermetic, Theurgical, Gnostic, Qabalistic & Alchemical studies. Invitation only.
EGYPTIAN TRADITION: Teaching the Sacred Kemetic Rites of the Neteru, from the 7 Degrees of Crata Repoa, through the Iseum and Serapeum, to the Ordo Aegypticus. Invitation only.
