PYRAMID OF THE ORDER
THE EMO UK PYRAMID
The archetypal and metaphysical structure of the EMO UK is that of a PYRAMID and TEMPLE of Old Egypt: a hieratic institution of the Lesser, Greater and Supreme Mysteries.
Each of the Mansions of the EMO UK is envisaged as a part of this
Ideal Spiritual Form, carrying the aspirations of the Brothers, Sisters and Fellows of the Order upwards through Nature and the Cosmos towards the Divine Source.
The Pyramid-Temple
A perfect Geometric Form, the Pyramid-Temple is a synthesis of the Triangle of Spirit and the Square of Matter, with a stable base on Earth that tapers upwards to the Infinity of Heaven. It houses the Degrees, Halls and Mansions of the EMO UK.
The Sacred Precinct
The Sacred Precinct of the Pyramid-Temple is the Parvis, where the new Member spends their Probation Period, receiving the introductory SESHEP SEBAYT; this period commences immediately whenever an uninitiated person passes the Interview process, fills in the Joining Form and NDA, and is registered as a New Member of the EMO UK.
The Outer Court
The Base, Foundation and Outer Court of the Pyramid-Temple is the Symbolic Lodge of Egypt, which perpetuates the Three Symbolic Degrees of Egyptian Masonry. All EMO UK Triangles, Regular Lodges, Metropolitan Lodges and Grand Lodges operate at this level. Masonic Initiates gain a secure grounding in the history, symbolism and practice of the Egyptian Rite. It is the Rendering of the KHAT.
The Inner Court
The Inner Court of the Pyramid-Temple is the College of Perfection, which perpetuates the Perfection, Mark Master, Master Elect and Royal Arch Degrees of Egyptian Masonry, up to the 14th Degree. Enrolled Masters study the ethics and morality of Masonry, Sacred Geometry, the Lower Psychism, and the awakening of the Sphere (Aura), and the subtle or psychical senses. It is the Purgation of the SHUT.
The Sacred Hall
The Sacred Hall of the Pyramid-Temple is the Rose-Croix Chapter, which perpetuates the Transitional and Rosicrucian Degrees of Egyptian Masonry, up to the 18th Degree. Knight Masons study the academic resources of the Mystery Traditions, the Egyptian Conception of the Soul, the Power of the LOGOS, the awakening of the Heart, and the regenerative nature of joy, ethics and compassion. It is the Purification of the KA.
The Priestly Chambers
The Priestly Chambers of the Pyramid-Temple are the Hermetic Senate, which perpetuates the High Celestial Degrees of Egyptian Masonry, up to the 29th Degree. Here is where the Members enter the Hall of the Gods. Knight Masons study practical Alchemy and Theurgy, Magical Invocation, Energy Works, the Higher Psychism, the strengthening of the Will, and the nature of mental force. It is the Exaltation of the BA.
The Holy Assembly
The Holy Assembly of the Pyramid-Temple is the Supreme Council of the Lesser Mysteries, which perpetuates the Ceremonial and Jurisdictional Degrees of Egyptian Masonry, up to the 33rd Degree. Illustrious Masons receive transmission of higher Qabalistic and Alchemical teachings, and work to the awaken the Soul, and the Spiritual senses. It is the Liberation of the AKH.
The Inner Sanctum
The Inner Sanctum of the Pyramid-Temple is the Sublime Consistory, which perpetuates the Greater Mysteries of Egyptian Masonry, Hieratic Art and Hermetic Science, up to the 86th Degree. Senior Masons rise in spiritual status as Knights, Priests and Sages of Primitive Masonry. The rulers of the Inner Orders also operate here. It is the Expansion of the KHAIBT.
The Apex
The Apex of the Pyramid-Temple is the Hall of the Arcana Arcanorum, of the Council of Sublime Sages, and of the Third Order, which perpetuates the Supreme Mysteries of our Rites and Traditions, up to the 90th Degree. The Arcana Arcanorum and its 3 + 1 Degrees, operates as a separate and secret Rite of its own, with its own Temple. It is the Confirmation of the REN and the Consummation of the Law of MA'AT.
The Pyramidion
The Pyramidion, or the Ark and Sanctuary, is the Highest Space within the Order, from which the Grand Hierophant and the Grand Council of Sages protect and preserve the sanctity of Egyptian Masonry. The Degrees from the 91st onwards are administrative as well as practical, constituting a form of Spiritual Wardenship. Grand Councillors guard the Nine Cultural Roots of the Order: Egyptian, Greek, Hebraic -African, Persian, Indian - Roman, Norse & Insular Celtic.
THE HALLS OF THE EMO UK
The EMO UK contains many Degrees and Grades, and even its main Rite has 99 Degrees in total. Such a systemic density requires an orderly arrangement of each part, according to its proper level of operation. These levels extend through the
Symbolic, Lesser, Greater and
Supreme
Mysteries of the Rites of Memphis-Mizraim.
The Order is therefore divided into the Ten Mansions - as described above in their Egyptian Modality - but even these Mansions are complex and must be further subdivided into Halls and Chambers of Operation, containing all the Mysteries pertinent to the Degrees and Grades therein.
THE LODGE OF EGYPT
THE EMO UK LODGES
The Lodge of Egypt of the EMO UK encompasses our Grand Lodge, Metropolitan, Premier and Regular Lodges. The Lodge of Egypt is conceived as a Temple, and is divided into three sections which reflect the architecture of the Entrance, Interior and Shrine of the Ancient Sanctuaries.
Each of the Degrees is designed to activate and enlarge the various aspects of the Initiate's Consciousness, guiding them to the illuminated and equilibrated condition of a Master Mason of Egypt.
THE SYMBOLIC MYSTERIES
The Lodge of Egypt
The Candidate is Initiated and brought through the Porchway and into the Temple of the Symbolic Degrees. They are advanced through the first Three Degrees, during which time they learn the fundamental Mysteries of the Lodge of Egypt. This prepares them for the Sanctuary.

The Master Mason, having laboured in both a Junior and a Senior Office, and attaining the 4th Degree, is now qualified to occupy the Principal Office of a Worshipful Master. This Office can only be conveyed by a Past Master, in the Lodge of Installation where the Magisterial Mysteries are transmitted.

The SAIS Sovereign Sanctuary of the EMO UK is divided into several Halls and Mansions which embrace the Degrees of the Lesser, Greater and Supreme Mysteries.
Each of the Halls and Mansions represent a different Esoteric, Mythical and Masonic theme, a different area of study, a different set of techniques and practices, and a different level of Human Consciousness.
THE LESSER MYSTERIES
The Hall of Perfection & Mark
The Master Mason, having been tested and extended an Invitation to join, is enrolled into the College of Masters, and enters the Hall of Perfection where they are shown what lies beyond the Veil of the Symbolic Degrees. Important Keys of the Occult Mysteries are revealed, demonstrated and conveyed.

The Architects' Lodge
The victorious Master Elect comes to rest for a while in the safety and sanctity of the Grand Architects' Lodge, the repository of Sacred Geometry, where the Perfect Plans of the +GAOTU+ may be studied and contemplated in peace and silence. Further hidden possibilities are explored.

The Royal Arch of Enoch
The Grand Master Architect, refreshed from their inward contemplations, now receives their Elevation to the Mysteries of the Holy Royal Arch, the Arch of Enoch, where the Synthesis of Divine and Cosmic Powers is revealed. The Keys to the more advanced levels of the Mysteries are shared and their importance is revealed.

The Halls of Transition
Having passed an examination, the Knight of the Royal Arch becomes a Knight Errant of the Halls of Transition, where they must demonstrate their advancement intellectually, ethically and spiritually through a series of deep esoteric researches. Many things will change.
