We are accepting applications from interested members of the public.

Complete beginners are welcome. You do not have to be a Mason already to join us.

Membership is subject to Assessment and Interview. We also accept Master Masons from any other Masonic Obedience through our Rites of Affiliation and Regularisation.

APPLICATION CRITERIA

Application is open to persons of all genders, ethnicities, orientations and native faiths. We accept both Masons and non-Masons as applicants. We are highly diverse and multi-national; we believe this to be a great strength, especially for the future of our world. We are an independent and sovereign Order. Our list of EMO UK Grand Lodge and UK Lodges may be found here.

All applicants must believe in a Divine Essence, Supreme Being, or Higher Intelligence; be over the age of 21; have no prior criminal convictions; be of good character and firm commitment; be willing to learn, study and share their findings; be politically moderate; be willing to travel to receive their Initiations in person; be ethnically, socially and religiously tolerant; be able to afford the Dues, Fees and Membership expenses of the Order without detriment to themselves, their families, or their businesses. 

A PC or Laptop with internet connectivity is essential for access to our Curriculum. Access via phone or tablet is not guaranteed.

DUES & FEES

ANNUAL DUES are currently £300 payable on joining, and by October 31st yearly therafter.

Our Annual Dues cover Initiations, Lodge Membership, Study Materials & Online Access.

ADMIN FEE is currently a one-off payment of £33 on joining.

CHARITY COLLECTION happens in Open Lodge; the Order also accepts charitable donations

DINING is optional and paid separately (prices and venue may vary)

INNER ORDERS are invitation only for EMO UK Master Masons (Inner Order Dues may vary)

Applicants require a Proposer and a Seconder when joining, so they must either become acquainted with at least one current Member of the Order, or the Grand Representatives will act as Proposers after their Interview (meetings of Introduction may be arranged). An up-to-date DBS (formerly CRB) check may be required. 

If a Master Mason is applying from another Masonic Obedience, they must show legitimate copies of their Masonic Certification, be in Good Standing, and provide evidence to support this. 

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP

FULL MEMBERSHIP - Both Full and Affiliated Members must obey all Summonses and attend all Lodge Meetings in their jurisdiction, even if they study online

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP - Associate Members must attend in person for their Initiations only, but may otherwise study online; ideal for international applicants and those living abroad

Both types of Member must receive their Initiations and Elevations in person. Affiliating Brethren may be granted either type of Membership depending on their circumstances.

INTERVIEWS

There is an interview process for all Applicants and acceptance cannot be guaranteed.

If accepted, all Members must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) along with their EMO UK Joining Form, to protect the identities of other sub rosa Members, to ensure the privacy of our Rituals and Transmissions, and to protect the security of our Masonic Works.

Members will begin as a Probationer, during which time they are entered on the system, preliminary study is given, and an Initiation Date is arranged. Overseas and international applicants must be willing and able to travel to the nearest EMO UK Lodge for their Initiations.

There is a Waiting List for Initiation Dates, so time spent as a Probationer may vary.

Applicants may apply to join their nearest Regional EMO UK Lodge via this page (mention the Lodge you seek to join in your Initial Enquiry; if the Lodge is in formation, we will add you to the Waiting List), or any Metropolitan EMO UK Lodge, via the Grand Secretary. We are new and only recently established, so please be patient.
