EMO UK practise several types of Symbolic Rite for the Three Craft Degrees. All Craft Lodges of our Jurisdictions may choose which Symbolic Rite they practice.
The Ambelain Rite of Memphis is the main Symbolic Rite of our Grand Lodge and Premier Lodge. The style is dense, richly layered, and highly philosophical in content. Structurally and liturgically, it has much in common with the French Rite.

The Ambelain Rite of Mizraim is an older and more traditional Rite, written in a sparse and distinguished style. It is also a mystical Rite, being one of the oldest symbolic rites of Egyptian Masonry.

This Rite is a highly mystical and strongly kemetic version of the Rite of Memphis-Mizraim, originating from the transmissions and lineage of Lagreze. As with other forms of the Rite of Memphis, it is strongly focussed on the Osirification of the Candidate by their passage through the Symbolic Lodge.

This Rite is a somewhat older version of the first Three Degrees of Memphis, from the Westlake Collection of Memphis Rites. It is more mystical and esoteric than the more classical Masonic rituals of Emulation, MM Taylors, and West End, but it is more succinct and less loquacious than the rituals of Ambelain.

This version of the symbolic rituals of the Mizraim Rite is similar in Lodge layout to the classical MM Taylors Rite, but with the esoteric content and symbolism of the Egyptian Rite. The Rite of Mizraim is the older of the Egyptian Symbolic Degrees, originating in the late eighteenth century, some fifty or so years before the Rite of Memphis emerged.

This mystical rite, unique to the Order, is inspired by the works of Wilmshurst, and includes his famous Tracing Boards, his Prayer, and the various symbolic analyses and quotations of this Masonic master.

Originally written in German, this highly chivalric Rite contains the essential Three Degrees of the Symbolic Rite, plus four more high Degrees which are chivalric and mystical in nature, similar to the CBCS or KBHC, or Knights Beneficent of the Holy City.

This ritual is the first of our three traditional forms of classical Masonry, preserved in a style more familiar to Anglo-masons. The Lodge is arranged according to the rules of classical Masonry, with the JW in the S and the SW in the W, having only Seven Principal Officers. It is similar to the English and Irish Rituals of UGLE.

This is the second of our more traditional Anglo-masonic rituals. It is beautifully worded, with many moving and elegant speeches. It is similar in nature to the MM Taylors Rite.

This is the third of our more traditional Anglo-masonic rituals and is like the preceding two in layout, symbolism, content, and style. However, it is perhaps the most traditionalist of all, having the option of singing the National Anthem of the jurisdiction in which it resides, and an Opening and/or Closing Hymn.

This is the first version of the Symbolic Scottish Rite, which has a rather Victorian style, and is somewhat more succinct than the other version of the Rite.

This is the second version of the Symbolic Scottish Rite, which is in the original style of the seventeenth and eighteenth century in tone and pace; it is a fuller version of the Rite.
