The Egyptian Order of Crata Repoa is a system of Seven Degrees which are derived from the historical accounts of the original priestly rites of the Ancient Egyptians, which were used to initiate aspirants into the Lesser and Greater Mysteries.
They are a mysterious set of Kemetic-Masonic Rites, deceptively simple in composition, but constituting a subtle and effective manner of exalting human Consciousness. They include traditional prayers and invocations to the NETERU, as well as a system of esoteric progress which reveals itself as the originator and archetypal model for all Initiatory Orders that came later. In our Order, the Degrees are arranged in the following manner:
Three Lesser Initiations of the Temple Acolytes, which reflect the Lesser Mysteries:
[Probationer]
Pastophoris
Neocoris
Melanophoris
Four Greater Initiations of the Temple Priests, which reflect the Greater and Supreme Mysteries.
Christophoris
Balahate
Maawr
Sapenath Pencar
Arguably, these ancient sacerdotal Degrees are the origin of the Seven Degrees of the Primitive Rite of Masonry. In addition to these are several Higher Degrees of the Ordo Aegypticus.
Access is restricted to qualifying Masons of the EMO UK Sanctuary.
In addition to the Initiations and their Transmissions, the Initiates progress through several Houses of Learning. These Temples work with progressively more ancient forms of Egyptian and Egyptian-influenced culture.
The ISEUM. accessible in the 3rd Degree of Melanophoris, involves the study of the Graeco-Egyptian or Ptolemaic traditions of Egypt, including the study of Hellenistic Astrology, Greek Medicine, and the Hellenistic forms of the Neteru. The cult of Isis is also studied.
The SERAPEUM, accessible in the 4th Degree of Christophoris, involves the study of the Greek Magical Papyri, the Sacred Liturgy, the Akephalos, and the Neteru of the Passion of Osiris. The cult of Serapis is also studied.
The HYPOGEUM, accessible in the 6th Degree of Maawr, studies the various practical aspects of Middle Egyptian Temple traditions, the iconography and symbolism of the Ancient Egyptian Neteru, hieroglyphs and sacred symbols, and the various traditional modes of worship.
The MAGISTERIUM, accessible in the 7th Degree of Sapenath Pencar, introduces the study and practice of Hekau, or Egyptian Magic, the Creation Myths, and study of the occult mysticism of Shai and Maat. The Magisterium is the Gateway to the Ordo Aegypticus.
