Bro. Darren Rose is the current Grand Master and Grand Hierophant of the EMO UK. He is a practitioner with over 40 years experience as a Professional Clairvoyant, Spiritual Healer, Astrologer, Tarot Master and Esoteric Consultant.
Bro. Rose began his study of the Esoteric within his hereditary tradition of Yr Henffyrdd, in which he was taught Herbalism, Spagyrics, Alchemy, Spiritlore, Ogam, Swyn-Cyfaredd and native Bardic-Druidic tradition, through secret and traditional methods. Bro. Rose is a descendant of several aristocratic lineages, as well as having a mixed ethnicity. He began reading Tarot at 8 years old, working as a private Tarot Counsellor by the age of 10. After discovering his Gifts at such an early age, he is committed to perpetual development upon the Spiritual Path.
Bro. Rose is an SNU-trained Spiritual Healer and Reiki practitioner. He has studied under Adepts and Masters of the Hermetic, Rosicrucian, Gnostic, Qabalistic and Martinist schools, including UGLE, LDH, the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, the RR et AC, the AO, the Martinist ICES, the Elus Coens, the Gnostic Society, the Higher Degrees of Memphis-Mizraim, and various private lines of affiliation and transmission. He was raised as a UGLE Master Mason in Kirby Lodge 2818 in 2008.
Bro. Rose is the author of several published occult works under the nom-de-plume Frater LIL, including the popular Golden Dawn Enochian Workbook series, the Five Books of Magical Correspondence, the Book of Telesmatic Images, and the Liber Arcanorum Minorum. He is also the creator of Divinate, an esoteric organisation which teaches Aquarian spiritual traditions, and he produced the free Divinate Oracle, which has been established for over a decade. Bro. Rose also writes various occult noir and horror novels under the name Lewis L Mason.
Bro. Rose is committed to encouraging Equality, Diversity and Inclusion within the Egyptian Masonic community, with a strong focus on personal empowerment, meritocracy, spirituality, and accountability. He upholds social compassion, excellence of character, and upright conduct as the principal virtues of the Order and its Members, seeking to unfold the Egyptian Masonic Works with beauty, humility and integrity.
As a music graduate, Bro. Rose is also a professional composer and producer, having trained and worked initially with the English National Opera. He has produced several charity singles for The Childrens Society and the #Hiraeth Charity Campaign in association with Penderyn Distilleries. He currently works under the artist name Hiram Tau.
Bro. Rose's main duties in the EMO UK:
- To oversee the establishment and maintenance of the Sovereign Sanctuary, Grand Lodge and Lodges of the EMO UK
- To construct, edit and curate the rituals and preserve the Rites of the Order
- To assemble, organise and synthesise the EMO UK Curriculum
- To contribute Lectures, Handbooks, Exercises, and Rituals
- To create and update all rubrics and expositions of the various Traditional and Esoteric Rites and their symbolism
- To perform the sacerdotal and hieratic duties of the Grand Hierophant
- To perform the Masonic, executive, educational and administrative duties of the Grand Master
- To train all Sublime Sages, Adepts, Senior Masons and Masonic Initiates in the Works and Rules of the Order
- To maintain discipline, and uphold justice or dispense mercy in the Order where necessary
- To promote the Order to those interested parties who may benefit from Membership
- To work for the good of the Order, for the benefit of its Members, and of all Humanity
- To transmit the various Initiations, Transmissions and Currents in a pure, harmonious and regular manner
- To maintain the spiritual integrity and occult processes of the Order and its various Mansions and Halls
- To maintain good relations with all interested parties
- To protect the Order, its Officers, its Members, and its Works from sabotage, mutiny, disorder, and malice of intent
- To turn humbly to the Wisdom, Strength and Beauty of the +GAOTU+ in all things, understanding that all Goodness, Justice and Truth is manifested through Divine Dispensation, Love and Service
